چکیده
In this study, we present a knee exoskeleton that assists weight acceptance in walking, sit-to-stand and stair ascending. Working principle of the device is inspired from bio-mechanical data natural human gait, sit to stance ascent motions. First, analyze gait identify behavior joint. Then build model for stand motion with an elastic element. After that, analyzed similar manner. Then, define appropriate elements, their coefficients motor requirements if necessary, these specific tasks. Finally, CAD proposed exoskeleton.

Sit to Stand Transfer Assisting by an Intelligent Walking-Aid
The sit to transfer assisting for elderly patients using an intelligent walkingaid is presented. This assistive device provides physical support to aid elderly with physical impairment during both the walk and the sit-to-stand transfer. In this paper, we will focus on the sit-to-stand transfer function and more precisely on the trajectory generation of the assistive device handles using interpo...
متن کاملDesign of a walking-aid and sit to stand transfer assisting device for elderly people
This paper describes the preliminary design of a light, high stability, robotic system for elderly assistance. The mechanisms used for such assisting devices must exhibit complex mechanical functions that may change during the use. The design was built up thinking about the constraints of a chosen pathology. Taking these constraints into account, the design of a robotic walker is presented whic...
متن کاملAltered loading during walking and sit-to-stand is affected by quadriceps weakness after total knee arthroplasty.
PURPOSE Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) successfully reduces pain, but has not achieved comparable improvements in function. We hypothesized that quadriceps strength affects performance by altering loading and movement patterns during functional tasks. METHODS Fourteen subjects with isolated, unilateral TKA were tested three months after surgery. Quadriceps strength was assessed isometrically a...
متن کاملThe influence of femoral head size following total hip replacement and hip resurfacing on hip biomechanics during walking, stair use and sit-to-stand
Due to geometrical features, it is claimed that larger femoral heads in total hip replacement (THR) are superior in achieving normal biomechanics than smaller ones; and that hip resurfacing (RSF) is superior to THR. This has not been conclusively proven. Most studies have investigated level walking, which may not be demanding enough to highlight what could be small biomechanical differences bet...
متن کاملA Fuzzy Controller for Lower Limb Exoskeletons during Sit-to-Stand and Stand-to-Sit Movement Using Wearable Sensors
Human motion is a daily and rhythmic activity. The exoskeleton concept is a very positive scientific approach for human rehabilitation in case of lower limb impairment. Although the exoskeleton shows potential, it is not yet applied extensively in clinical rehabilitation. In this research, a fuzzy based control algorithm is proposed for lower limb exoskeletons during sit-to-stand and stand-to-s...
